‘Do you have to queue?’ – Isaac Fayose slams senators for lining up to welcome Seyi Tinubu

    • Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has criticized the Senate leader online.
    • He expressed displeasure over the senator’s welcome at the airport, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
    • Feyos called the senators’ behavior sycophancy and an unnecessary show of loyalty.

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has caused an uproar online after he publicly criticized the Senate leader’s behavior towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on December 23, 2025, the entrepreneur and political activist questioned why senators and other senior officials reportedly gathered at the airport to greet Seyi Tinubu. He described the behavior as blatant sycophancy and expressed frustration at what he saw as an unnecessary show of loyalty.

Using everyday examples, Isaac explains that flattery often prompts people to behave irrationally. He noted that while poverty may prompt individuals to behave in certain ways, it is more disappointing to see wealthy and influential people behave similarly.

Isaac further argued that the Nigerian constitution did not recognize any position known as the “Office of the Son of the President”, wondering why the Senate leader was standing in the sun waiting to welcome Seyi Tinubu.

Although he made it clear that he had no personal issues with Seyi Tinubu and even praised his charity efforts, Isaac insisted that the actions of the MPs were inappropriate. He stressed that Nigeria is a democracy and not a monarchy like the United Kingdom or Dubai, where leadership or privileges are passed down through the royal lineage.

    Isaac in his words:

“We all love Seyi, I even love Seyi more than you. I love this man more than you because he is a devotee and he is helping society. But do you have to go and stand in line? You, our leader, the leader of the Senate, are waiting under the sun for the president’s son, which has no position in our constitution.”

He went on to explain that sycophancy causes leaders to behave like parents who respect their wealthy children. He also questioned why none of the senator’s children advised their parents to object to what he called a ridiculous and disgusting display.

“Flattery go and wake up Baba, go say hello to him. Because your pijin is rich, you go and wake him up. My pijin, how are you? Have you never seen Baba use honorifics to their pijin?”

@morgan_thriller: “Authoritarian family, Abacha didn’t indulge in all this crap, Tinubu is the worst thing to happen to Nigeria and all of Africa.”

@dr_dre6: “Nigeria is disappearing, disappearing. It’s very sad. The country is finished. He’s acting like a de facto president. There really is a country.”

@hajiwayse: “You plant garbage, the president is behind in the full video…Kay.”

@folaskip: “Egbon you are too smart not to know he just came down from his father, you are not stupid now, some of you are using social media in the wrong way, BAT was in that plane but Seyi was the first one omg. Sometimes you sound like an unintelligent person.”
