Nigeria’s Super Eagles beat Mozambique’s Mamba 4-0 on Monday night to book a place in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations in Morocco with a stellar performance.
Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen scored two goals within five first-half minutes to help the Super Eagles advance in the round of 16 tie in Fes. Second-half goals from Osimhen and Akole Adams sealed the victory for the Eagles.
Nigeria head coach Eric Scherer named the same starting XI for the crucial game as against Tunisia. Ademola Lookman, Frank Onyeka, Stanley Nwabali, Akor Adams and others all returned and started against the Mamba in Fes.
