The Charles Darwin University Scholarship 2023-2024 is a scholarship for international students. This scholarship is available for undergraduate, masters, PhD and training. Both types of scholarships are fully funded. Four types of scholarships provide partial funding, covering up to 50% of tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for Charles Darwin University Scholarships
You can apply for the Charles Darwin University Scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
- Required language: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries in the world
- Submit a record of academic excellence and high achievement demonstrated in previous relevant studies and qualifications
- Must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements
- Hold a CDU degree admission letter.
- Do not hold a scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsoring institution
- Do not currently hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizenship.
Scholarship conditions for recipients
- Maintain full-time registration for 40 credits each semester;
- Pay your tuition balance on or before the start of each semester; tuition scholarships will be deposited directly into your student account within two weeks of each semester’s census date
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester in the CDU degree program, with a minimum GPA of 5.3 and no failing grades in any subjects;
- Scholarships are non-transferable into cash, non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, course or academic year
- Winners must pay international fees, not domestic fees
- No withdrawal or leave of absence may be made without prior approval of the Office of International Services;
- Winners must abide by the University’s Student Charter
- Winners must notify the International Office via email [email protected] Any change in visa status occurs immediately as this may result in the termination of the scholarship.
Scholarship Scope
Charles Darwin University scholarships are available in the following types:
- Chancellor’s International High Achievement Scholarship (VCIHAS): This scholarship is available for undergraduate or postgraduate course degrees and covers 50% or 25% of the tuition fees for the entire duration of the course.
- CDU Global Excellence Award: This scholarship is available for undergraduate or postgraduate course degrees and covers 50% of the cost of study in the first year and 10% in subsequent years.
- CDU Global Leadership Award: This scholarship is available for undergraduate or postgraduate course degrees and covers 25% of the cost of study in the first year and 10% in subsequent years.
- CDU Global Achievement Award: This scholarship is available for undergraduate or postgraduate course degrees and covers 15% of the first year of study fees.
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) Merit Scholarship: TThis scholarship is available for Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications and is a one-off payment of $3,000 towards first year tuition fees.
- Advanced research degree: These are fully funded scholarships.
- Northern Territory Scholarships: This scholarship recognizes a student’s academic achievement, leadership and community involvement. They are used for higher education – undergraduate and graduate ($12,000) and are used to pay student tuition fees.
