We would like to inform the general public that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Scholarship Form 2022 is out.
Eligibility for 2022 ASUU Undergraduate Scholarships
- Applicants must be from poor households
- Applicants must be registered students at a university with an accredited ASUU campus.
- Applicants must be in sophomore year or above.
- Applicants must have at least Pass 5 O’ level credits (including English and Mathematics) in one go.
- Applicants must not hold any other scholarships.
Require
Applicants must have good academic performance (CGPA 3.0 and above).
Award value
The scholarship amount is only One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) per beneficiary and will be awarded in one go on November 12, 2022 (Heroes Day).
How to Apply for ASUU Undergraduate Scholarships 2022
Each applicant shall submit a letter of application, not to exceed two (2) pages, which must include the following:-
- Candidate name
- Course and year of study.
- country of origin
- The application letter must be accompanied by the following: – A copy of the applicant’s current identity document.
- A letter from the candidate’s current department chair including the latest information on the candidate’s CGPA from the previous semester.
- A copy of the candidate registration form for this semester.
- Two (2) latest passport photos.
ASUU Scholarship Deadline 2022
Each branch is expected to complete the selection supervision of the regional coordinator and the list of winning forwards by September 30, 2022.
Branches that fail to complete work on time will no longer receive incentives for 2022.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is a union of academic staff of universities in Nigeria, established in 1978.
ASUU was established in 1978 out of the Association of University Teachers of Nigeria established in 1965 and covers the academic staff of all federal and state universities in the country.
In the 1980s, the League actively participated in the struggle against the military regime.
In 1988, the union organized a national strike to obtain fair wages and university autonomy.
As a result, ASUU was banned on August 7, 1988 and all its properties confiscated.
It was allowed to resume in 1990, but strikes were banned again on August 23, 1992.
However, an agreement was reached on 3 September 1992 that met many of the union’s demands, including workers’ rights to collective bargaining.
ASUU organized further strikes in 1994 and 1996 to protest the dismissal of staff by Sani Abacha’s military regime.
