Yangzhou University Scholarship is a full scholarship for international students. These scholarships are available for undergraduate, master’s and PhD students. These scholarships will provide tuition remission, accommodation and stipends of up to RMB 2,500.
Scholarship Scope
Yangzhou University Scholarship will provide the following benefits to the winners:
undergraduate school:
- Tuition and accommodation fees are waived. All applicants are required to pay additional fees.
master:
- Tuition and accommodation fees are waived. Living expenses of 1,500 yuan per month per year (10 months).
PhD:
- Tuition and accommodation fees are waived. Living expenses of 2,500 yuan per month per year (10 months).
notes:
- The funding period may not exceed the standard academic study period. International students must participate in the annual review organized by Yangzijiang University. Those who fail the review will have their scholarship qualifications suspended or even cancelled.
- For undergraduates, the school mainly checks attendance and academic performance, and makes a comprehensive evaluation based on the college’s evaluation and rewards and punishments. If the attendance rate is ≥95% and the average score is ≥70 points, the tuition and accommodation fees for the next academic year will be waived; if the attendance rate is ≥95% and the average score is ≥60 points, the tuition fee for the next academic year will be waived;
- If the attendance rate is <95% or the average score is <60 points, the scholarship will be suspended.
- For graduate students, the school mainly assesses students’ academic performance and instructors’ evaluations, and makes comprehensive evaluations based on scientific research results and rewards and punishments. Those who fail the evaluation will have their scholarship qualifications suspended.
- Students whose scholarships are suspended will have their scholarship qualifications cancelled, but can continue their studies at their own expense. Applications for annual reviews may be made during the current academic year. If approved, scholarship qualifications will be reinstated from the next academic year.
- Yangtze University reserves the right to conduct internal evaluations of all scholarship students before the end of the first semester. If a student is deemed to be unsatisfactory on assessment, his/her scholarship program will be immediately suspended.
- If a student commits any of the following circumstances, the scholarship qualification will be canceled and will not be reinstated: violates Chinese laws and regulations, participates in illegal organizations or activities, is punished, or commits other illegal acts (scholarship qualification will be canceled immediately); students who do not participate in the annual scholarship review without legitimate reasons or fail to pass the review twice in total (scholarship qualification will be canceled from the next semester).
Yangzhou University Scholarship Application Requirements
To receive a Yangzhou University scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Required language: English.
- Eligible countries: All countries in the world except China.
- International students who have applied for a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree at Yangzhou University.
- Undergraduate students, over 18 years old and under 25 years old (before May 31). For master’s degree, the age is above 18 years old and below 35 years old (before May 31). Those pursuing a doctoral degree must be over 18 years old and under 45 years old (before May 31).
- There is no similar scholarship in China
How to apply for Yangzhou University Scholarship?

(2) Select Yangzhou University International Student Scholarship and your major, then fill in your information.
(3) Upload the following required documents and submit your application:
- Copy of passport (page with photo and visa).
- Certified copy of high school diploma.
- Certified copy of high school transcript.
- High school recommendation letters.
- Valid Chinese or English language proficiency test report.
- Physical examination record of foreigners.
- No criminal record certificate.
- Guardian authorization letter (for young applicants under 18 years old).
- Insurance application form.
- Warranty Statement.
- The guarantor’s valid ID card or passport photo page.
notes:
- If scholarship students are unable to register on time due to personal reasons, they can apply for an extension, up to 1 month. Those who fail to register on time will be deemed to have given up their scholarship.
- For scholarship students who suspend their studies due to illness, their scholarships can be retained for one year. No living allowance will be paid during the leave of absence. Scholarships cannot be retained during periods of suspension due to other reasons.
