    • Kris Asimoye Ugboma, wife of comedian Bowie, has reflected on the challenges of moving abroad, noting that Nigerians have to give up the “soft life” they enjoy in Nigeria and manage everything on their own.
    • She highlighted the dramatic shift from the “soft life” of maids, drivers, cooks and nannies she enjoyed in Nigeria to a more hands-on, do-it-yourself lifestyle when raising children abroad.

Chris Asimoye Ugboma, wife of comedian Bowie Ugboma, has shared her views on the challenges Nigerians face when moving abroad.

She highlighted the dramatic shift from a “soft life” in Nigeria (with maids, drivers, cooks and nannies) to a more hands-on, do-it-yourself lifestyle when raising children abroad.

Kris, who moved to the UK with her children, wrote on social media:

“No one talks about our harsh reality: from the comfortable life we led in Nigeria (with maids, drivers, cooks, nannies at home) to living and working 24/7 with our children abroad.

    Things we take for granted”

In other news… OTHER NEWS… A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread reactions online after she shared a WhatsApp message allegedly sent by her mother containing crude language and expletives.

The woman, known as @atouchofcee on social media, revealed that her mother, Precious Chikodi Justice, sent messages full of anger and threats. Screenshots shared on TikTok show the mother claiming that no one but herself can reverse the curse on her daughter.

In the message, the woman allegedly warned that her daughter would no longer succeed unless she apologized and acknowledged her. She further claimed that if she did not do so, her daughter’s close friends and “helpers of fate” would abandon her.

    One of the messages read:

“You will never succeed again, and no one can turn this around except me, the precious Lady of Chicody Justice. You just wait and see. From now on, all your best friends and destiny helpers will be cut off from you. Unless you come and apologize and admit that I am…”

@atouchofcee responded publicly, sharing screenshots and expressing shock at the severity of the news. She responded:

“Who can be against me when God is for me. Oh well, unless they kill God.”

The post subsequently sparked heated discussion online, with many social media users expressing doubts and concerns about the nature of the messages and their impact on parent-child relationships.
