- Nine-month-old twins reportedly died within 24 hours of routine immunizations and Lagos state has ordered autopsies as their father demands justice and expresses concern over the investigation.

The Lagos State Government has ordered an autopsy on nine-month-old identical twins Testimony and Timothy Alozie, who reportedly died about 24 hours after receiving routine immunizations at a primary health care center in the state.
The case gained public attention after the twins’ father, Samuel Alozie, known as Promise Samuel on TikTok, shared a video showing his sons’ bodies in separate body bags while recounting how they fell ill and died shortly after being injected.
In a follow-up video posted on Thursday, January 15, Alozzi said that he took the twins for routine immunizations on the morning of December 24, 2025, after which they became extremely weak.
“They can’t eat, they can’t play, they can’t even bother like they used to. They’re just too weak,” he said.
According to him, a nurse recommended paracetamol if the temperature rose. He said that although the children were given medicine and given cold water, their condition worsened.
“On the 24th, after the injection, they were very weak…On the morning of December 25th, they died. They both died at the same time,” Alozi said.
He insisted that the twins were healthy prior to immunization and had received all required vaccinations since birth. He also questioned the health center’s assertion that the deaths could have been caused by food-related bacteria.
“I fed them for a month to nine months and it didn’t kill them,” he said.
Alozi further claimed that the nurse who administered the vaccine was not a regular health worker who usually cared for his children.
Confirming the development, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Primary Health Care Commission, Dr Ibrahim Mustafa, said investigations were ongoing and a post-mortem examination had been ordered.
“We sympathize with the parents … the police are investigating and so is our state as a whole. We look forward to the autopsy results.” Mustafa said.
He added that the body was deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) mortuary and assured that the findings of the investigation would be made public.
However, Alozzi expressed concern that the investigation could be affected and called for legal aid.
“If you are a lawyer, a human rights lawyer, please help me… I need justice for these children.” he said.
