The final burial rites of late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu have been announced as family, friends and colleagues prepare to bury the revered worship pastor.
Akinnaanu died on January 12 after a long battle with a severe leg ailment that drew widespread attention and prayers from fans and members of the gospel music community. In the months before her death, she publicly sought prayer and healing while battling the disease.
Funeral arrangements were made public by gospel singer Alayo Melody, who shared a flyer outlining plans for the event via Instagram on Friday.
According to the schedule, the event will begin on Tuesday, January 20, with a song service at LTV 8 Ground, Ikeja, Lagos. This will be followed by a candlelight procession at 7pm and a tribute and artist night at 8pm on the same day.
According to the family, burial services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, and will be held privately for family and close associates.
