In other news…Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent pastor and outspoken critic of the killing of Christians in Plateau State, has publicly debunked rumors about his health, firmly denying claims that he was dead or seriously ill.
In a video circulating on social media, the cleric addressed the reports head-on, assuring the public that he was alive and well despite widespread speculation.
“Some of you are saying I’m dead. I’m alive, I’m not dead. Some of you are saying they’ve flown me overseas and I’m about to die from my illness. I’m still alive,” he said.
“Those who think I’m done, I’m alive and today I will complete the newest warrior in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
His response comes amid growing concerns raised by Plateau State journalist Masara Kim Usman, who recently urged Christians in the state and across the country to pray for Pastor Dajomo. Usman claimed that the cleric’s liver disease has recurred and may require urgent medical attention from outside Nigeria.
Rev. Dachomo serves as the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (COCIN). It was reported that he successfully received a liver transplant in India in early 2025 and his wife donated the organ.
Since returning to Nigeria, the cleric has become more outspoken in his condemnation of what he calls the ongoing, systematic killing of Christians in Plateau State. His bold stance has made him one of the few religious leaders to consistently publicly address the issue, despite repeated denials by the Nigerian government.
