A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has sparked a backlash on social media after she burst into tears after learning she was in fact pregnant, despite initially claiming the situation was a lie to get out of orientation camp.
A doctor known as @PreciousOrla on X (formerly Twitter) recounted the incident.
According to doctors, the team member lied about being pregnant in an attempt to avoid camp activities. However, when told that a pregnancy test would be taken to verify the claim, she quickly retracted her statement and admitted that she had made up the story.
Even though she was admitted, the nurse went ahead and ran the test and unexpectedly got a positive result.
The news reportedly left the Legionnaire shocked and emotional as she struggled to cope with the surprising news of her pregnancy.
The content of the post is as follows:
“Someone here wanted to use the pregnancy to lie and get out of the camp, and she immediately realized she was going to be tested to confirm that she was now saying she was not pregnant again and that she was lying. Regardless, the nurse insisted on a test and she was indeed pregnant. She kept crying.”
