“If my mother doesn’t like you, we can’t get married” – Man claims mother’s approval is key to his marriage

    • A man has sparked a debate online about marriage and parental approval.
    • He said in the video that his decision to get married depended entirely on his mother’s opinion.
    • He expressed complete trust in his mother’s judgment of potential partners.

A man has sparked widespread debate online after revealing that his decision to get married was entirely dependent on his mother’s consent.

In a video that attracted attention on X (formerly Twitter), he stated that he fully trusted his mother’s judgment and would not pursue marriage if she did not like his future partner, regardless of his own feelings.

He believes many men make the mistake of ignoring their mothers’ opinions, which he says often leads to marital problems. According to him, his mother has always given him good guidance and remains his most reliable source of advice.

“My approval of a woman or my consideration of marrying a woman was largely determined by what my mother thought of her,” he said. “That woman raised me and made me who I am today.”

He explained that if his mother reacted negatively or seemed uncomfortable to the women he introduced, the relationship would naturally falter.

“If I introduce her to a woman and she doesn’t like that woman, I start looking at her sideways. Even if I try my best, I’ll never get very far.” he said.

While he acknowledged that some men choose to marry women whose mothers are not compatible with them, he stressed that this was a path he personally could not take.
