    • Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, is a popular Nigerian content creator and TikTok star.
    • He has announced plans for his first ever live broadcast tour in Nigeria.
    • The tour will cover more than ten states across the country.
Peller laments decline of sketch comedy, says creators are starving

Nigerian content creator and TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has revealed plans for his first live broadcast tour in Nigeria, marking a major step in his online career.

Peller announced the news via Instagram on Wednesday, January 28, where he said the tour would span more than a dozen states across the country.

Although an official start date has not yet been announced, Peller posted an image highlighting the 16 locations he plans to visit. These include Ibadan, Ekiti, Ogun, Akwa Ibom, Port Harcourt, Imo, Abia, Abuja, Kaduna, Edo, Ondo, Calabar, Borno, Osun, Enugu and Ebonyi, with the possibility of a second group of destinations in the future.

“These are the states I will be touring. If your state is not listed, you will have to wait for part two.” he wrote.

Peller’s decision to launch a national tour appears to have been influenced by US streamer IShowSpeed’s recent African tour, in which the internet celebrity interacted directly with fans through live content.

Earlier, IShowSpeed visited Lagos but Peller was unable to meet him in person. A viral video captured Peller trying to approach the anchor during a live broadcast, only to be stopped and taken away by the star’s security team.

In one memorable moment, Peller even rode after IShowSpeed’s convoy in hopes of attracting attention, although the effort went largely unacknowledged by the American anchor as onlookers watched. During the incident, Peller pleaded: “Please, I’m the anchor. I’m big. Please let’s do something. I’m suffering because of you.”

@mommyasa: “That’s a great move, Peller, I really like you. Go out there and show the world the speed they can’t show. We’ve got your back.”

@fromyoma: “Why is Edo dey in capital letters???”

@shuunbebe: “Fear of Warri is avoidance of Delta.”

@bensuper03: “The question is, are you ready to see me, Pele? Come to Abuja, you know we will send your dad.”

@___kosisochukwu_: “You guys calling him copycats are just stupid people, even before Speed does his thing, others already do it! If you can’t support this boy, please rest.”

@ddt._kreativegraphics: “You didn’t let Abuja go. No one sent you here.”

@bayanoscomedy: “Pele let me first advise you, when you come to the port, don’t go there, don’t go there to talk or sound disrespectful or abusive to any old man, because your bodyguards don’t go and rescue you. If you think lies, let Davido wait for their playground show, please let Tiny wait for Buguma to happen.”
