    • Popular Nigerian content creator Hamzat Kolu, aka Kolu Wahala, has bought a new car after losing his previous one in a fire.
    • The new car, a stylish white sedan, was revealed during a live broadcast by comedian Carter Efe.
    • Kolu was excited to get behind the wheel again, while Efe showed shock and admiration during the car inspection.

Popular Nigerian content creator Hamzat Kolu, popularly known as Kolu Wahala, is back in style after proudly showing off his newly purchased car to comedian Carter Efe just weeks after his first car was lost in a fire.

The heartwarming reveal came during a live broadcast when Kelu invited Carter Efe outside to view the stylish white car. Kelu was excited, saying he was finally back behind the wheel, while Effie’s reaction was one of obvious shock and admiration as they inspected the car together.

The moment is particularly emotional given that Kolu’s previous car – said to be worth around £25m – was destroyed by fire earlier in January 2026, less than 12 days after he bought it. The incident was a major blow to the entertainer, making the new car a symbol of resilience and recovery.

Cluj’s rise has not been without its share of struggles. He has previously spoken of the difficult days he spent on the streets of Abuja before moving to Lagos in search of better opportunities.

In an earlier interview, Kolu revealed that singer Portable helped him come to Lagos and introduced him to the music industry, eventually signing him to the Zeh Nation record label. However, in 2025, Kolu parted ways with the label, accusing Portable of mistreatment and lack of support, while still acknowledging the role he played in launching his career.

After quitting Zeh Nation, Kelu found new success under the guidance of Carter Efe. Their collaboration on viral skits and livestreams quickly attracted attention online, increased Kelu’s income and eventually allowed him to buy a new car.

@FindingKan: “I think it’s actually pretty funny that Carter is the only one who understands Koru every time he speaks.”

@TommycCoal: “Kolu don’t buy a car. Congrats to him.”
