    • Big Brother Naija star and actor Tega Dominic has been appointed special adviser on sexual harassment.
    • The appointment was led by the newly elected President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Yakubu.
    • The announcement was made on January 29, 2026 via the AGN official Instagram story.

Big Brother Naija star and actor Taiga Dominic has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment to the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Yakubu.

The news was announced on Thursday, January 29, 2026, via the AGN official Instagram Story.

In response, Tega shared her appointment letter on Instagram and highlighted her dedication to the role, saying:

“My commitments are clear: education, awareness and accountability; zero tolerance for sexual harassment; protection and support for survivors; a safe and confidential reporting system; and fostering a culture of non-negotiable respect.”

According to GistLover, Tega rose to fame in 2021 after participating in the BBNaija reality show “Shine Ya Eye”.

In other news… A Nigerian woman has set the internet ablaze after she issued a strong warning to women to be wary of men who pretend to be obsessed with them in relationships.

In a video shared on social media, the woman explained that what many women understand as deep obsession or intense love is sometimes carefully staged emotional manipulation.

“Men can fake obsession. It’s fake obsession on your part, but it makes you think they’re obsessed with you and makes you feel like they can’t live without you.” she said.

According to her, some men deliberately create an illusion of exclusivity to make women believe that she is the only one in their lives to ensure emotional control and attachment.

She further points out that behaviors that are often mistaken for love, such as jealousy, possessiveness and constant surveillance, are often performative rather than genuine.

“If he sees you with another boy, he’ll pretend to be jealous. Not a lie, fake jealousy. It’s not real jealousy because he knows that if you don’t feel jealous, you’ll feel like, he doesn’t love you,” she explained.

The woman cautioned women not to confuse such behavior with real commitment, stressing that feigned obsession is often transactional and driven by physical attraction rather than care or respect.

“It doesn’t care about you. It’s just for your body!” she added.
