In other news… A Nigerian woman has set the internet ablaze after she issued a strong warning to women to be wary of men who pretend to be obsessed with them in relationships.
In a video shared on social media, the woman explained that what many women understand as deep obsession or intense love is sometimes carefully staged emotional manipulation.
“Men can fake obsession. It’s fake obsession on your part, but it makes you think they’re obsessed with you and makes you feel like they can’t live without you.” she said.
According to her, some men deliberately create an illusion of exclusivity to make women believe that she is the only one in their lives to ensure emotional control and attachment.
She further points out that behaviors that are often mistaken for love, such as jealousy, possessiveness and constant surveillance, are often performative rather than genuine.
“If he sees you with another boy, he’ll pretend to be jealous. Not a lie, fake jealousy. It’s not real jealousy because he knows that if you don’t feel jealous, you’ll feel like, he doesn’t love you,” she explained.
The woman cautioned women not to confuse such behavior with real commitment, stressing that feigned obsession is often transactional and driven by physical attraction rather than care or respect.
“It doesn’t care about you. It’s just for your body!” she added.
