- Geh Geh has criticized the Grammy Awards for disrespecting Nigerian artist Davido.
- Claiming that the Grammy Awards have lost their meaning to Davido.
- The allegation was that Davido was nominated with no real intention to award him the award.

Controversial social commentator Guy Gai has taken aim at the Grammy Awards, accusing them of showing continued “disrespect” to Nigerian music star Davido.
In a video that went viral, Gerge claimed that the Grammy Awards had lost their meaning for Davido, claiming that the organizers nominated him with no real intention to award him the award.
He believes Davido is being used to promote the Grammy brand in Nigeria and across the continent. Geh Geh also recalled advising the singer in the past not to submit his work for Grammy consideration, warning that the awards capitalized on his influence in the African music industry rather than recognizing his talent.
Despite Davido’s multiple nominations, Gerge said Grammy organizers know they are unlikely to award him the award but will continue to mention his name to stay visible in Africa.
He further said Davido’s hunger for awards could work against him, adding that the awards body did not fully take the singer seriously.
Geh Geh also hinted that rival artist Wizkid might be happy with the situation, but he did not provide further details.
He said in part…
“Come to 2026, you allowed Grammy to trash you. They won’t trash you, you have no value anymore. I remember I made a video advising Davido not to submit his song to Grammy. These people are using you to promote their awards in Nigeria and Africa. But he just shouted ‘I want to win a Grammy’ go win a Grammy.” Wizkid Would be happy now. This life we live in, well, knowing where you are you can think you have contributed to people’s lives and have that person not judge you at all, the Grammys know they will never give Davido this award, but because they still need to promote and market their awards to Nigeria and Africa, that’s the only reason they nominated Davido.
