    • The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Media, Ossai Ovie, has expressed disappointment over Chioma Adeleke’s attire at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
    • He criticized her choice, calling it “half-naked.”
    • Ovie said the outfit did not properly represent Nigerian culture.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Media, Ossai Ovie, has expressed disappointment over Chioma Adeleke’s choice of attire at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ovie criticized singer Davido’s wife for wearing what he described as a “half-naked” outfit, saying it did not properly represent Nigerian culture.

He stressed that as a public figure, Chioma’s presence on such an international stage was influential and could influence young Nigerian women.

“I am disappointed with Chioma Davido’s attire. She should not have appeared at the Grammy Awards half-naked. Her attire did not reflect Nigerian culture but displayed a revealing Western style,” Ove wrote.

He also called on Davido to provide guidance as her husband. “Cultural representation is important. I’m disappointed that Davido allowed this,” he added.

Ovie’s comments sparked an online discussion about how public figures balance personal fashion choices with cultural representation on a global platform.

Read some of the comments below:

@Kizz Tony: “If it’s your turn, bring a canopy so your wife can’t see the chioma done.”

@Daniel: “Oga d husband cool with this…wear a raincoat when you marry yourself.”

@Gossip NG: “Davido buys clothes for his wife but you are disappointed.”

Ada: “But the husband is not disappointed in his wife.”

@Amaka: “Since some of you are taking paracetamol for Chioma, please make sure you are not taking an overdose.”

“Because I know all too well that David’s family is meeting her and her own family is meeting her. Ndi suggested.”

@Hamza: “She’s been seducing the Grammy boss. If you like nudity odumodu just pull his pins and he’ll do it for me.”
