- Actress Keke Palmer says she values her independence and doesn’t want to live with a partner, even in a marriage, preferring separate spaces to maintain balance and excitement in relationships.
- The actress suggested other arrangements, such as living in a different house, a house nearby or the same property but in a different space.

Hollywood actress and singer Keke Palmer has shared her unconventional view on relationships, revealing she wouldn’t want to move in with her partner even if she got married.
The 32-year-old actress revealed the news during an appearance on “Today” with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on Monday, February 2, while promoting her Peacock series “The ‘Burbs.”
The hosts discuss a growing dating trend where people talk about big life topics like marriage, politics and kids on the first date before the conversation begins. Palmer praised the approach, saying it helps determine compatibility early.
“I think it’s actually good. Just move it out of the way,” she said. “Sometimes you talk to someone and nothing real is ever discussed.”
In a fun role-play of a first date, Palmer was asked if he wanted children. Despite being a mother to two-year-old son Leodis, she revealed clear personal boundaries.
“I can be very open, but one thing you need to know is I never want to live together. I like my alone time,” she said.
Referring to Whoopi Goldberg, Palmer added, “She once said,”I don’t want anyone in my house,’ I felt that way too. Even getting married.”
The actress suggested alternative arrangements, such as living in a different house, a house nearby, or living on the same property but in a different space. “At most it’s a separate room” she said.
Palmer also joked about keeping things exciting in relationships, saying she doesn’t want to share a bathroom and instead enjoys visiting her partner.
“I want to go to my man’s house”
“Over there, hi husband!” She smiled.
