An elderly man and a young man were confronted by community members in Orlu, Imo State, after a video allegedly circulated showing them engaging in homosexual activities.
According to reports, in the video, the old man kissed the young man on the mouth. After the video surfaced, community members reportedly confronted the pair about the incident.
During the confrontation, the elderly man denied any sexual activity took place between them. However, the young man appeared visibly frightened as he was questioned by several men, some of whom were armed with canes and threatened to whip him if he did not tell the truth.
As he spoke, the younger man described how he came into contact with the older man. He said: “I learn a skill on the job. He called me and said he wanted to see me. “
He added that he went to the man’s home and claimed it was the first time he had met him. According to the young man, the old man gave him food and said: “He gave me rice and yams.”
When asked what happened between them, the young man said: “He made h0mo with me.”
His interrogator asked him to repeat,“What did you do to him?”
“We did h0mo,” The young man answered again.
The incident sparked a strong response online after video of the confrontation emerged.
