Nigerian musician 9ice, whose real name is Abolore Adegbola Akande, has recently been trending online for his reaction to a cash gift given by the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.

A video that went viral captured the moment 9ice hugged Oluomo as he sat in his seat and appeared to whisper a prayer in his ear after receiving the money.

The NURTW frontman presented 9ice with a bundle of N500 notes, prompting the singer to lean in, embrace him warmly and pray fervently while Oluomo kept responding with “amen”.

What initially seemed like a mutual gesture of respect and goodwill between the two celebrities soon turned into a topic of controversy on social media platforms.
