Whether you are registering for the first time or completing the pending process, this article will help you register smoothly on the NYSC portal.

    What you must do before starting NYSC online registration

    Before starting registration on the NYSC portal, please make sure you have the following ready:

    ✔ Your name must appear on the Senate/Academic Committee list

    Your organization must first Upload your name to NYSC Senate List. Only graduates whose names appear on this list can register online. If your name is missing, please contact your school immediately to update it.

    ✔ Only use NYSC official website

    Please always use the NYSC official website to register:

    • Portal.nysc.org.ng
    • New York State Government Website
      Using unofficial websites may lead to scams or data loss [nysc.gov.ng]

    ✔ Have a useful email and Nigerian phone number

    NYSC Online Registration Requirements

    1. Valid email address and phone number

    Use the email you check regularly and the phone number you maintain throughout your service year.

    2. Senate list verification

    Before registering, please confirm your name on the NYSC Senate List on the portal.

    3. National Identification Number (NIN)

    You usually need a NIN to create an account and complete registration.

    4. Personal data

    Fill in accurate information exactly How it appears on your certificates, transcripts, and institutional records.

    5. Passport photo

    Upload a Clear passport photo on white/off-white background. Photos must show your full face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and chin). Avoid wearing filters, sunglasses, hats or silhouettes.

    6. Biometric fingerprint collection

    You will need to have your fingerprints (fingerprints) taken electronically – please do this yourself. Don’t let anyone do it for you.

    7. Degree certificate or transcript

    8. Payment (optional)

    You can pay a small fee (around £2,700 to £3,000) on the portal to receive your call number and correspondence online. If you choose not to pay, please collect your call letter from your institution.

    Married female PCMs can upload their marriage certificate and spouse’s household registration certificate for possible release adjustments. Pregnant or nursing mothers should note this as the camp does not provide accommodation.

    1. Visit the NYSC Portal: Portal.nysc.org.ng
    2. Click “Mobilization Registration” (for first time users)
