- Iyabo Ojo is willing to work with any political party committed to improving Nigeria’s future.
- Her statement comes in the wake of controversy surrounding a promotional video for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Iabo Ojo has declared her readiness to work with any political party committed to creating a better future for Nigeria.
Her comments come after a promotional video she produced for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) sparked controversy.
GistLover reports that FAAN recently shared a video on X in which Iyabo Ojo was seen praising the improvements at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
She posted the same clip, writing: “FAAN is getting better in many ways. I’m proud of my country.”
The video prompted mixed reactions online, with some critics citing her previous political affiliations. Many have reminded FAAN and the federal government that the actress has criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu and supported Peter Obi during the 2023 general elections.
Reacting to the speculation, the Managing Director of FAAN, Olubunmi Kuku, refuted claims that Iyabo Ojo was awarded any contract or appointed as an ambassador for the agency.
Reacting to the backlash, Iyabo Ojo insisted that she was unapologetic and clarified that she made the film out of good intentions in promoting Nigeria. She denied receiving payments and stressed she was ready to work with any political party focused on building a better tomorrow.
She wrote on her Instagram page:
“I am a Nigerian. I am a voice. When I see progress, airport upgrades, road rebuilding, system improvements, etc., I will shout it from the rooftops if need be, not because I am getting paid, not because I am a politician, but because I feel it and I want to bring good to my country. I will continue to use my craft, my voice to promote Nigeria and I am unapologetic about it.
“FAAN came to me and said you have seen these changes. Please help us spread the word. So I am doing it for free. No contract. Just love Nigeria. If Nigeria must rise, we all must build it. Silence helps no one. I will work with any political party as long as it builds a better tomorrow for our dear country. No agenda. Just work together. Let’s stop dividing”, let’s stop dividing” she said.
There are now reports that Seyi Tinubu is appointing celebrities and influential figures to lead groups supporting his father’s re-election. DAILY POST also reported that the promotional video was released months after Iyabo, who is known for his support for Peter Obi, held a private meeting with Seyi Tinubu in Lagos.
