Pete Edochie shares the hilarious story behind his failed attempt to quit drinking

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has caused a stir after criticizing the trend of men kneeling down to propose marriage, calling it stupid and contrary to African cultural values.

In a video that has resurfaced online, Edochie said: “Any young man who gets down on his knees and proposes to a woman is not just an idiot; he’s a damn fool, a composite clown. The reason I say that is simple… We try to imitate white people, right? White people get down on their knees and propose, and you know what that means? The girl takes over the family.”

He went on to express his belief in traditional roles: “Young people like you, who should be in control of your own destiny, want everything from a woman. That makes you a fool. My wife and I have been together for 51 years. No one has come along and said, ‘Please stop beating this woman.'” Is this hatred? “

Edochie believes that such proposals undermine the authority of men in relationships and stray from the fundamental principles of African culture. His remarks sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising him for upholding cultural values and others criticizing his outdated views.

In other news… A woman who relies on crutches has expressed frustration at what she says is the poor quality of products on the market.

In a video circulating on the Internet, the woman lamented that the crutches she bought did not last long and often broke within a short period of use. According to her, frequent damage forced her to spend money on multiple replacements.

Speaking in a mix of Pidgin and English, she called on manufacturers to improve production standards and stressed that walkers should be durable as they are essential for the people who rely on them every day.

“People who make crutches should stop making rubbish. I buy new crutches every two weeks,” she said, expressing frustration and exhaustion with the situation.
