- Super Eagles coach Eric Scherer is reportedly seeking a new contract worth up to $130,000 per month to cover the costs of his staff, with a number of demands including improved benefits, better working conditions and full autonomy in team decision-making.

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is reportedly seeking a new contract that could see his monthly salary rise to about $130,000.
The Malley tactician currently earns about $50,000 per month from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). However, recent reports suggest that Cele has changed agents and is seeking improved terms.
According to FlashScore’s Shina Oludare, the proposed $130,000 is intended to cover Chelle’s entire technical team and personal assistant, contrary to previous reports that suggested a $100,000 salary for just him.
In addition to salary, Scheer is said to have made several demands. These include a private SUV with a driver and security guard, a house in a secure area with uninterrupted power, a furnished office for tactical analysis, internet access and air tickets for the family.
He is also reportedly asking for greater professional autonomy, including full control over team selection, the right to choose international friendlies, and the freedom to source players at home and abroad and oversee talent development programs.
“NFF must issue a work contract for my employees, and wages need to be paid on or before the 30th of each month. Bonuses and allowances are in accordance with the alliance structure. My PA is required to be included in the bonus and allowance structure. The recommended monthly salary is US$130,000.00 (one hundred and thirty thousand US dollars).
“This fee includes all technical staff and personal assistants as well as monthly meetings with all national team coaches.”
