The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has strengthened its operational framework through the establishment of seven new area commands and 11 divisions in the 16 local government areas of the state.
The newly established regional commands include Area I (Lafiagi), Area J (Oke-Oyi), Area K (Agbabiaka), Area L (Patigi), Area M (Kaoama), Area N (Share) and Area O (Ilemona) .The new divisions are located in Alabado, Jeba, Capada, Ilupeju, Songa, Saraje, Oro, Basita, Lade, Agbabiaka and Amayo.
NSCDC State Commander, Omar Muhammad, Legion Public Relations Officer Ayoola Michael conveyed this information in a statement. He noted that the establishment of these new regional commands and divisions was endorsed by the Commander of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Ahmed Odi.
This initiative is part of NSCDC’s ongoing efforts to fulfill its core mission and statutory responsibilities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery across the state.
Muhammad pointed out “This development complements existing regional commands and divisions and reinforces the Corps’ commitment to strengthening its presence in communities and promoting co-operation in the fight against all forms of criminal activity.
“New regional commands and units are already operational and I encourage the public to work with those in these offices in our efforts to eliminate criminal elements from our communities.”
