    It’s time to put an end to tanker explosions

    Vice President Kashim Shettima has raised concerns over the nationwide reopening of the gasoline tanker explosion.

    Naija News Several petrol tanker explosions were reported across the country, including in Jigawa, Ibadan Niger and last Saturday’s event in Enugu.

    His words: “My heart is filled with sadness as I received the news of the oil tanker explosion that occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Ugwu Onyeama, UDI Local Government Area of ​​Enugu State.

    “I am deeply saddened that yet again a Nigerian life has been lost and injured in this tragic incident.

    “I sympathize with the people and government of Enugu over the oil tanker fire that has claimed lives following the incident in the state.

    “It is time to end avoidable tanker accidents and explosions. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very concerned and disturbed by this and other tanker explosions recently.”
