President Trump has stopped HIV funds for Nigeria and other developing countries.

Under the order of President Donald Trump, Nigerian News Nalin It is reported that the US government has instructed the organization of other countries to stop the AIDS drugs purchased from the United States, even if they have obtained drugs and sit in the local clinic.

The U.S. State Department stopped the funds paid by the PEPFAR Emergency Plan (PEPFAR) from President AIDS Relief for at least 90 days.

The lawsuit originated from the administrative order of President Trump on foreign aid. He signed the order on the first day of taking office last Monday.

The command indicates that all government agencies that manage foreign development aid programs to stop paying funds.

As a result, almost all global health funds in the United States stopped immediately.

NPR reports that PEPFAR has stopped paying funds. If the plan is exempted from the plan in the next few weeks, it may be suspended for at least three months.

Pepfar’s annual budget is $ 6.5 billion, providing HIV/AIDS treatment for more than 20.6 million people. It helps to save life and curb the spread of the virus.

The facts of the US State Department show that Pepfar has saved the estimated 26 million people’s lives since its establishment.

However, when talking about the ban, the agency said: “The United States will no longer blindly waste money without returning to the American people,”

At present, about 2 million Nigerians suffer from HIV, and many of them have benefited from Pepfar.
