Lovers were sentenced to 3 months in prison in Abuja

A court of Gwagwalada was sentenced to two lover, 30 -year -old Mohammed Nazifi and 25 -year -old Bilkisu Ibrahim, respectively. For imprisonment, they were sentenced to guilty.

Police accused their lover accusing men and women’s adultery that they pleaded guilty. Prosecutor Dabo Yakubu told the court that the appellant was that the Dayabe Abdullahi in the village of Chibiri, the village of Abuje, reported the matter in the regional Command in Gwagwalada on January 16.

Yakubu told the court that the defendant had conspired and had sexual intercourse, and all admitted the crime in his statement.

He said the crime violated the provisions of Article 387 and 388 of the Criminal Law. According to him, Section 387 and 388 refers to men or women who follow the customary law. Among them, extramarital sexual intercourse is considered criminal crime.

“If a man or a woman and a spouse have sexual exchanges, he/she has committed adultery and should be imprisoned due to the term of office. This term may be extended for two years, and they can be fined or both.” He said.

When the allegations were read out, Nazifeng begged the court to adjust justice in a pity, saying that he was a married man who had a child to take care of it. Ibrahim also begged the court to pity, saying that she had a 3 -year -old child and an elderly mother, relying on her.

Public order judges Olatunji Oladunmoye had previously returned criminals so that they could provide witnesses to ensure their good character.

When they couldn’t provide anything, he finally sentenced them.

Oladunmoye sentenced his lover for three months, and everyone’s fines were fined N25,000. Judge of Public Security said that the essence of punishment is not to destroy or destroy criminals, but to reform them, but also a deterrent to anyone who may want to embark on the same way.
