President Tinubu fired top INEC Recs.
Nigerian News Nalin Reports said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has written to the Senate to demand the immediate termination of Sokoto, Adamawa and Abia National Independent National Election Commission (INEC) Suspension of Resident Election Commissioner (REC).
This was learned during the plenary session by Senate President Godswill Akpabio in a letter read to the Senate.

The president said INEC was suspended before taking office a year ago.
“Invite the Senate to note that since March 2022, the three resident election commissioners have been suspended before the current government appears,” read the letter part of Tinubu.
“Although I believe the Senate will consider this request quickly, accepting the outstanding senator and the outstanding Senate president is my highest guarantee of consideration. “
The president is expected to ask the Red Chamber to confirm that nominees fill the vacant offices in the coming days.
