 announced a 15% increase in tariffs, marking the first adjustment in 32 years. </p>

<p>The news came on Thursday in Lagos with stakeholders participating in the implementation of the approved tariff rate hike.</p>
</p>
<p>NPA managing director Abubakar Dantsoho was represented by Marines executive director Olalekan Badmus, who explained that despite the huge economic changes, the agency maintained the same interest rates for three decades. These include rising exchange rates, rising wages, increased fuel and lubrication costs, and fluctuations in inflation.</p>
</p>
<p>The increase in tariffs is expected to affect all NPA operations in full, and the agency highlights the need for adjustments to keep up with current economic reality.</p>
