Rivers State Police Command has arrested a woman for her neighbor arresting a woman on a railroad axle in Elekahia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Neighbor Onyedikachi, who witnessed the incident, said Augustine, who works in the Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt, rested before the suspect faced him back to his apartment after work , accused him of descending behind the compound.
Anger at the allegation, Augustine questioned how people of his age did it. This led to a fierce debate between them.
“The woman walked to the back of the house and saw the feces. She then asked the man sitting in front of his house that if he was responsible, they started a fight. The man said he had just returned from work and questioned his age How do people over 60 do this when they have children in the compound?” he said.
“The woman then picked up the sand from the ground and threw it to the man. He stood up from where he sat and they started fighting.
“Then she picked up a rock and hit him on the head. When I talked to you, we were at the Elekahia police station and a group of people gathered together. This person was dead. His body was inside the car.”
Onyedikachi further stated that Augustine was taken to two different hospitals, both of which refused to attend him. In the third hospital, he was identified as D3AD.
A spokesman for Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police commander who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect denied beating the man with any object.
“Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman has been arrested and the matter has been transferred to the state’s Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department,” she said.
“During the interrogation, the woman claimed the man hit the nose and his children were fighting her and threw stones at her. She said a rock accidentally hit the man when she tried to dodge.
“As I said, she is in our custody and the investigation is underway. At the end of our inquiry, she may be prosecuted.”
