One of Elon Musk’s businessmen in government ministry efficiency, his government efficiency staff resigned after the now-deleted racist social media posts resurfaced.
Marko Elez, a 25-year-old software engineer, is part of Musk Doge’s efforts to work within the Treasury to cut costs and eliminate fraud. Elez, who previously worked at Musk Companies X and SpaceX, is one of two interim appointments to the Doge-related Treasury Department, who are granted access to a highly sensitive fiscal system that processes trillions of dollars in payments each year.
Wall Street Journal Reported 2024 posts from an account with Elez on the Musk X platform.
“You can’t pay me to get married outside of my race,” the account wrote in September. A separate post from that month “normalizes Indian hatred.”
The account was released last July: “Just as a record, I’m a racist, and then it’s cool.”
In other posts, starting in December, the account pushed for the repeal of the Civil Rights Act and shared: “I just want one eugenic immigration policy, which is too much.”
All racist social media posts have been deleted.
White House officials confirmed his resignation after noting Elez’s activity on social media sites in the newspaper.
