Independent Corruption and Other Related Crime Commission (ICPC) arrested Adam Imam Yusuf, deputy commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, allegedly diverted 3 billion Dutch guil.
The Commission revealed this in a statement on Friday, February 7, 2025.
“Until now Yusuf has been detained at his residence in gwagwalada, Abuja and will face prosecution.”
“The ICPC investigation revealed that former Navy Chief of Staff Usman Jibrin (Rtd.), vice president, allegedly orchestrated fraud through Yusuf and former Brigadier General Ishaya Bauka Gangum (Rtd.).
“The program reportedly involved the transfer of public funds using 92 fictitious companies that were not registered with the Company Affairs Commission (CAC).
“A ICPC investigation traced the funds back to Lahab Integrated, Gate Coast Properties and other affiliates, resulting in the acquisition of more than 18 properties, including fill stations.
“So far, four of these properties have been confiscated to the government, and legal proceedings for the remaining assets continue.
“The ICPC is also stepping up efforts to arrest other suspects.”
