Former President Muhammadu Buhari said Nigeria’s economy and security have made significant improvements over its eight-year term.
Buhari spoke on Wednesday, February 5 while hosting members of the Nigerian Union Church of journalists in Casina, his rural residence in Daura, Casina.
Reflecting on the achievements of his administration, the former president recalls the numerous challenges he inherited in his pre-2015-led government.
He highlighted security issues, including terrorism and the terrible economic situation, which are major obstacles to urgent attention.
“Nigeria’s security and economy have improved significantly under my management compared to ours in 2015,” Buhari said.
Buhari said the progress made under his leadership will continue to benefit the country, noting: “The situation in Nigeria will continue to improve.”
