Chelsea Football Club has added three players to its European Conference League lineup ahead of the knockout stage that began in March 2025.
The Blues were allowed to add three players to the conference league team they had submitted. Enzo Maresca decided to hand over the three locations to Cole Palmer, Trevor Chalobah and the club’s latest signature, Mathis Amougou.
Palmer was initially excluded from Chelsea to reduce the number of games he could have played. The 22-year-old has been a key player in the Premier League, starting all 24 games so far and will now be in the knockout stage of the conference league as well.
However, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana were excluded from the team as both players have been injured since the start of the season. Amougou, signed from St. Etienne and Chalobah, recalled in Crystal Palace last month, were included in the final Europa League team.
Chelsea was won by bookmakers in the second session league favorite. But if Enzo Maresca can achieve this feat, the Blues will be the first feat in history to win the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League
