Agents from the Niger State Police Command arrested two suspected criminal weapons in the Tonga area of Minna.
Command spokesman Sp wasiu Abiodun revealed this in a statement over the weekend, saying the suspects – Mariam Abdullahi and Aliyu Abubakar were arrested with long sharp knives and two packets of marijuana.
“At around 8.30 pm on May 2/2025, a police patrol team affiliated with Tudun-Wada Div intercepted and arrested two suspects with dangerous weapons. The suspect was; Aliyu Abubakar 25 22 and Mariam Abdullahi are located in the Minna Bosso area,” the statement reads.
“The suspect was arrested with a long sharp knife and two packets of marijuana. They are investigating DIV and will be prosecuted soon in court.”
