Amid the fierce controversy, EFF has made a public defense.
The incident began with Musk sharing a tweet from X user Mario Nawfal, which featured a video from Malema, noting that EFF will “cut the white throat.” The clip also includes a separate statement from former Black Earth First (BLF) President Andile Mngxitama, who is known for his violent remarks against white people. Nawfal’s post has attracted widespread attention on the platform.
Musk responded to the video on his @Elonmusk X account, calling for “immediate sanctions” on Malema and urged him to be declared an international criminal. These remarks inspired Malema’s keen reaction.
With his @Julius_S_Malema X account, the EFF leader fired backwards, calling Musk a “typical spoiled boy” and a “direct beneficiary of segregation whites.” Malima also accused Musk of committing racism, claiming: “I know black people look at you the same thing, typical racist. Looking up, you realize that they are two different people.”
He continued: “The United States is making us stupid. I don’t care about your sanctions; I will never stop fighting for black and white equality, and if that makes me an international criminal, I’m honored to be one.”
