Agents from the Lagos State Police Department arrested allegedly hooligan, Wisdom Obey, who was suspected of possessing a gun.
Force spokesman ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed this in a statement on Sunday, February 9, 2025, saying the suspect rode a car along the Abule Ado Bus Stop on the Lagos-Badagagry highway in Amuwo Odofin Registered motorcycle.
A search showed a Brownie pistol and 13 rounds of live ammunition hidden in the MP3 radio.
“As part of its commitment to strengthening national security and curbing crime across the country, the Nigerian police force continues to implement aggressive strategies to effectively address criminal activities. These efforts reflect the determination to create a safer environment for all citizens while enhancing the public. Trust the public security equipment,” the statement reads,
“The recent successful actions carried out by police operators across the country are evidence of this ongoing dedication to protect the lives and property of all residents of the country.
“In one of the cases in the Lagos State Police Department, during a routine patrol on February 7, 2025, a team of police officers from the satellite department intercepted a suspicious Hoodlum, which was identified for 24 years. Abule Ado Unregistered motorcycles at the bus stop follow the Lagos-Badagry Expressway at Amuwo Odofin.
“After searching the suspect, a Brownie pistol and 13 rounds of ammunition were found on the MP3 radio. The suspect was detained, motorcycles and recorded items were recorded as exhibits, and the investigation continued.”
