
Police agents attached to the commander of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested personnel from the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and used various guns and ammunition.
The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed and was arrested in the Zuma area of the state on Monday afternoon, February 10, 2025.
According to the gathering, it was impossible to reasonably explain how he obtained the weapons and where he brought them, and was suspected of possibly reaching a weapon deal with the criminal.
His arrest comes after an online intelligence report about missing persons, according to sources.
It is reported that the weapons recovered from him include rifles and pistols.
“We took back four AK-47 magazines; four CZ Scorpion Rifle magazines; two CZ Scorpion Rifle rifles, 139mm ammunition, and two Diakon and CZ pistols,” one source said.
FCT Police Commissioner (CP) Olive Disu confirmed the suspect arrested the country.
The suspect is under questioning, he said, adding that more details will be provided later.
“They just brought the suspect to me and he is being questioned. That’s what I can confirm at the moment,” he said.
