Some speculate that Asake splits its legacy with Olamide’s YBNL in a controversial way.
Asake released his latest song “Why Love” under his own branding Giran Republic, confirming his exit from YBNL.
The singer previously paid tribute to Olamide on his first-year single “Military,” which silenced the rift between them.
Asake signed with YBNL Nation in February 2022.
In July 2022, Asake signed a distribution agreement with Empire.
Despite his withdrawal from YBNL, Asake remains in a deal with the Empire.
