    The highly anticipated 17th edition of Headies, Nigeria’s premier music awards ceremony, brought the entertainment industry aversion with a recently announced nomination.

    The highest ranking is the rapper of the type Tochukwu Ojogwu (commonly known as Odumodublvck), who ruled the nomination this year with an impressive five nods. Following closely behind are Afrobeats Sensations Ayra Starr and Street-thop Star Shallipopi, each with three nominations.

    Odumodublvck’s versatility shines, especially in the competitive best collaboration category, where he was nominated twice, competing with industry heavyweights like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Zlatan, Zlatan, Asa and Chike.

    One of the most exciting moments of this year’s nomination was the post-death recognition of Ilerioluwa aloba, commonly known as Mohbad. Although he was outdated on September 12, 2023, his music continued to waving, earning three nominations.

    As always, Headies continues to celebrate the excellence of Nigerian music, launching a lineup of fiercely competitive categories including producer of the year, record of the year, songwriter of the year, best R&B single, best Rookie, Best Rap Single, Best Vocal Performance (Female), Music Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration.

    With the nominations laying the foundation for a fierce competition, music lovers eagerly awaiting the big event, the best music in Nigerian music will be honored.
