A high court at Rivers State University sat in Harcourt Harbour where he was convicted of hanging a Wagbara David M8rder and sentenced an Eze Kingsley to D3ATH.
Kingsley was tried on three counts of murder and a charge of causing serious bodily injury, and reportedly used a sharp subject to stab David.
David was taken to the ascending Harcourt University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
After David directed the tanker driver to remove the vehicle from his commercial premises, a debate broke out between the oil tanker’s commander and David, the operator’s speaker, who claimed that his presence was interfering with his business.
Wagbara’s death caused anger and pandemen insects in the area as natives were warned to attack but stopped by security agents.
In making the verdict, Judge Boma Dilpiri said the prosecution had proven every element of the murder, without a doubt, and was convicted and sentenced Kingsley to D3ATH.
Judge Diepiri ruled that Kingsley should be hanged in his neck until death and prayed for his soul to rest.
