Operation Haven (OPSH) is among the troops and a notorious militia leader and kidnapper Hamisu Saleh, also known as the “Master”, during a raid in the Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State.
Intelligence sources revealed the operation was conducted on February 11, 2025 as part of an ongoing effort to combat criminals in the region.
Sources mentioned in December 2024 that the earlier 25-year-old Saleh arrested the attack, killing and kidnapping of Barkin Ladi Lga.
What is further collected is that the suspect reappeared on December 11, 2024 and continued his criminal activities.
After a series of investigations and interrogations, Saleh admitted to multiple kidnappings and disclosed information about weapons hidden in various locations used in criminal operations.
The tactical team of the OPSH unit carried out raids in general areas of ROPP on 11 February 2025 around 2047 hours.
The purpose is to arrest other members of the criminal gang and reclaim hidden weapons.
During the operation, Saleh tried to mislead the troops by providing false information about the hiding place and where weapons were stored.
However, he desperately escaped and attacked the soldiers, and he tried to steal the soldiers’ weapons.
The troops responded quickly to neutralize the suspect. There was no other recovery rate for further searches of the area, but the military promised an offensive operation to track other criminals.
