“They can go to hell.” Nuhu Ribadu blows up Canada to reject the military chief visa

National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu blows up Canadian officials because they reject visas from senior Nigerian military officials, including National Defense Staff (CDS).

Rabadu objected in his first annual speech at the National Institute of Security (AANISS) held on Thursday, February 13 at the Shehu Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.

The NSA comments were posted after defense personnel revealed that he and his team were invited to Canada to attend events commemorating veterans, but he and about half of the delegation were denied visas.

General Mousa described the incident as “disappointing” but stressed that it reminded Nigeria to “become a country” rather than being taken for granted.

He said: “Every disappointment is a blessing. Yesterday, I was supposed to be in Canada. There was an event to honor our veterans, those who were injured in the fight, and we were supposed to be there. We were invited to go with us The team together. Half has disappeared and half has been rejected. It’s disappointing.”

Ribadu praised General Moussa for talking about the incident.

“Thank you for the courage to say Canada rejects your visa. They can go to hell,” Ribadu said.

Despite its disappointment, Nigeria is “peaceful and strong” and must work to overcome such challenges.

Ribadu praised General Musa for providing “purposeful leadership” in the war against terrorism, gangsters and other security threats.
