
A 19-year-old high school graduate, Sunday Moses, allegedly, had committed Su.
On Monday, February 10, 2025, Moses was found hanging from a tree in a secluded area of the village.
State Police Command spokesman Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident on Wednesday, saying that police reports from Olugbo Outstation show that Moses’ mother had been buried weeks ago but has not yet been buried in the hometown of LGA, Oju, Benue State
According to PPRO, the deceased allegedly informed his brother John Egbe that he would find a location with better online reception to make a call.
“The deceased left his home earlier on February 10, 2025 in search of better internet services. When he failed to return, his brother, John Egbe, 47, crossed the road. Come and track him back to where he was devastating,” PPRO said.
“Police detectives were immediately deployed to the scene after receiving the painful report. Photos were taken and the body was carefully lowered in front of family members, who confirmed that there was no suspected foul.
“The family suffered destruction due to the loss and demanded that the remains be buried by traditional rituals.”
Odutola added that the headquarters had investigated the incident.
