Chelsea’s head coach Enzo Maresca directly addressed the Blues’ possible first four games in the 2024/2025 season.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca answered questions about rumored competitive goals in a pre-match press conference, which was to finish the top four in the Premier League set by the club’s owner.
Enzo clarified that he never made such a statement and that he did not take any form of pressure to achieve such a goal.
“I didn’t say that our goal was the top four – the club never said it. The goal was to play in the Champions League in two years, not in a year.” He said in a press conference.
He also said, “We will see how we complete it [if it’s a failure if they finish outside the top four]. I kept saying the same thing from day one. I don’t think what we do is bad because what we do is there. I think, unfortunately, neither of us are two domestic cups. Our journey in the Premier League has been great until today and conference leagues. ”
He added:We will do our best. Chelsea has never forgotten to make it to the top four in the past two years, and we have spent this season in the top four. We will do our best to accomplish what the club needs. ”
