    Two suspected kidnappers were arraigned for kidnapping police in Ondo

    Two suspects, Lekan Osansan and Olubodun Oladimeji, were arraigned before sitting in the chief district court in Akistrate, the capital of Odo state , to kidnap police inspectors.

    The suspect filed a lawsuit in court for three charges of kidnapping police officer Michael Aromeh at the NTA junction in Akure Metropolis.

    According to police prosecutor Martins Olowofeso, the suspect kidnapped a uniformed policeman and took him to an unknown destination

    The charges read: “You, Lekan Osansan’M’ and Olubodun Oladimeji’M, did conspire to commit a felony crime on January 12 in the Akure province, to Witness, kidnapped Aromeh Michael Michap’s uniform from the NTA junction to unknown destinations, and thus committed a crime of violation and punishment under Article 516 of the Criminal Code. 37, Vol. Laws of Ndo State, Nigeria, 2006.

    In addition, the charges said: “You, Lekan Osansan’s M’ and Olubodun Oladimeji on the same date, time and location in the above magazine area, kidnapped Aromeh Michael to an unknown purpose. and rescued by ASP. Yahaya Ondeku and five other people, therefore committed crimes and punishments that violated Article 364 of the upper limit of the criminal law. Vol. 37. [1] Odo State Law, Nigeria, 2006.

    and “You are on the same date, time and place, Lekan Osansan’M’ and Olubodun Oladimeji, while the aforementioned magazine area, did do their own in a way that could lead to the kidnapping of inspector Aromeh Michael, who violated the peace.     However, they plead not guilty to the charges against them. Police prosecutors asked the court to approve the suspect’s bail under strict conditions.

    Chief magistrate Ra Olumilua bailed the defendant 1 million guilds and two margins. The guarantor must be a Level 14 official of the state civil servant. Another guarantor must be a clergy or a recognized chief.

    The guarantor must deposit N500,000 in the court. The court amended the trial of the case on March 5.
