A high court in Kano is scheduled to be held on April 15, 2025, demanding preliminary objections to Abdullahi Ganduje, President of the All Progressive Conference (APC) in the corruption case.
The Kano State Government has filed eight charges against Ganduja, his wife Hafsat, his son Umar Abdullahi Umar and five others. These allegations include bribery, misappropriation and transfer of public funds. Other defendants in the case include Abubakar Bawuro, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited and Lasage General Enterprises Limited.
At a court meeting Thursday, February 13, the state’s attorney Adeola Adedipe said he was ready to apply. Attorneys representing Ganduje and some co-defendants also marked their preparation, while others asked for additional time to regulate their submissions.
Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu approved the application for an extension and adjourned the case on April 15, when all pending preliminary objections will be heard.
