    Four illegal immigrants from Cameroon and Chad were arrested in Ogun

    Ogun State Community, Social Inclination and Security Forces Codenamed SO-SAFE Corps, arrested four Cameroonian nationals and Chad into the state illegally.

    The suspect, identified as Dorooumouna Brosia, is a 23-year-old Cameroonian and leader of the group; Hassan Bukhari, a Cameroonian; Saleh Sinine Sakhair, a 27-year-old Chad; Chad and Saleh’s brother Mahamat Moudaina is Arrested at about 8:00 am on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

    Dr. Soji Ganzallo, commander of Dr. Soji Ganzallo, confirmed this through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations in a statement from Abeokuta, he said The arrest comes after the information received by the operator.

    According to Ganzallo, Cameroonians and Cha Germans had boarded a taxi to Lafenwa in Abeokuta before being arrested.

    During the interrogation, the suspect admitted that both Cameroonians had been in Ibadan for more than four months, waiting for their appearance from Chad.

    The commander revealed that a Chadian nation named Hassan Seid is a resident of Ibadan who has been living and working in Lafenwa and invited them to Ogun State University (Ogun State).

    “About 0800 hours on February 13, 2025, the state operations team received intelligence that the Cameroonians and Chad Nationals had boarded a taxi to Rafenwa in Abu Kukuta,” he said.

    “The team took immediate action to trace the suspects back to Rafenwa and arrested them before they got off the vehicle.

    “During the interrogation, they revealed that a Chadian nation named Hassan Seid was a resident of Ibadan who had lived and worked in Lafenwa, invited and instructed them Head to Ogun State University. They claim they work there and improve their English skills to do business.”

    Ganzalo insists that undocumented immigrants may engage in criminal activities, and illegal entry into the state could pose a threat to national security, public safety and health.

    He added that the arrested illegal immigrants had been handed over to the Nigerian Immigration Agency and the Ogun State Command conducted further investigations and possible repatriation.
