PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is charged in French company's abuse of power

Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi made preliminary charges Thursday for a possible corruption investigation, judicial officials told the Associated Press on Thursday.

Al-Khelaifi was accused of being accused of buying a vote and damaging the 2018 Lagardel Group Board of Directors of the Katari Investment Fund vote. Neither source requires no naming.

Since the 2011 acquisition of Katar Sports Investments, the head of PSG has led a record 12-time French-France 1 title, dreaming that makes the dream of the best European team face several legal cases in recent years, but has always denied any Illegal behavior.

“This document is absolutely nothing to do with Nasser al-Khelaifi, but as usual he will be dragged into a completely false process, which is obviously responsible for anything until everything quietly disappears without any reason, for a few years.

Arnaud Lagardere, head of the Lagardere Group, allegedly fraudulently used approximately €125 million (for $129 million today) from the group’s funds for years to fund his personal expenses.

The case in France’s Al-Khelaifi known as “NAK” involved a 2018-year-old power struggle between billionaire right-wing tycoon Vincent Bollore, the wealthiest man in France, Bernard Arnalt (Bernard Arnault) is the owner of the LVMH luxury company that supports Arnaud Lagardere.

On April 24, 2018, Katar Holding LLC, a subsidiary of the sovereign wealth fund QATAR Investment Agency (QIA), a major shareholder of the Lagardere Group, positioned himself as the resolution of Amber Capital.

Arnaud Lagardere and his assistants are accused of calling their contacts, including Al-Khelaifi, as director of the QIA.

Five days after the first vote, the QIA changed its position and voted in favor of the resolution proposed by Arnaud Lagardere.

The Lagardere Group was acquired by media and publishing giant Vivendi in a fierce battle at the end of November 2023 and is controlled by the Bollore family.

Previously prosecuted Al-Khelaifi, allegedly corruption in Qatar’s bid for the 2017 and 2019 World Track and Field Championships has been mid-February 2023 by the French Cassation Court Abolished, the court ruled that the French judicial system was powerless.

The Paris Investigative Magistrate Judge also discussed Al-Khelaifi, alleging alleged kidnapping and quarantine in Qatar, Franco-Algerian lobbyist Tayeb Benabderrahmane.

Al-Khelaifi denied the charges and filed a complaint.
