    Oluremi Tinubu elected as a member of the OAFLAD Steering Committee

    Oluremi Tinubu has been elected as a member of the OAFLAD Stering Committee.

    Nigeria News Nalin First lady Oluremi Tinubu was reportedly elected as a member of the steering committee of the First Lady of Africa (OAFLAD) Organization, the organization’s highest decision-making body.

    Mrs. Tinubu will serve for two years.

    In a statement from her spokesman Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady is outside the ordinary meeting of the 38th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa He was elected at the 29th General Conference.

    OAFLAD’s new president-elect is Fatima Maada Bio, the first lady of Sierra Leone; and Ana Afonso Dias Lourenço, the first lady of Angola, was elected as vice chairman of the committee.

    Other members of the committee include Monica Chakweerera, the first lady of Malawi; Rachel Chebet Ruto, the first lady of Kenya; and the first lady of Ethiopia. , Zinash Tayachew; First Lady of Equatorial Guinea, Constancia Mange Nsue Okomo and First Lady of Congo.

    “She joined the steering committee of 8-8 members and became one of two members representing West Africa. Other elected member states include Sierra Leone, whose first lady is the new president of the organization, Angola, and whose first lady is Malawi, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea and Congo.

    “Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who has already made a strong voice in OAFLAD, is expected to further carry the organization’s torch to promote its advocacy initiatives to achieve its strategic framework for 2025-2030.” Added a statement.
